Minimum requirements

To drive with Zen Share  your vehicle must meet these minimum requirements:

Document requirements
Driver's license
Must be 25+ years of age. Must be a full G license or equivalent (G1 and G2 not accepted).

To drive, your vehicle must meet these minimum requirements:

  • 4-door vehicle with independently opening doors
  • Good condition with no cosmetic damage
  • No commercial branding
  • No salvaged or rebuilt vehicles
  • Pass a vehicle inspection by a licensed mechanic


Vehicle model year

Your vehicle's model year must be 10 years or newer to drive with ZenX, ZenXL, 

Registration

Zen Share accepts both official and temporary registration documents. The vehicle does not need to be registered in your name to qualify.



Regulatory requirements
Inspections

City bylaw regulators may request rides at any time to conduct vehicle and document inspections.
Be sure to keep the following documents in your vehicle when driving:
Driver's license
Vehicle registration
Proof of insurance
Safety standards certificate (SSC)
